Left 4 Dead 2 “Banned” In Australia

So the word is that the gamers in Australia are effectively being “Lef t 4 Dead” when it comes to the new zombie shoot-em-up of the same name, Left 4 Dead 2.

My only question is, does this prevent them from obtaining it via Steam? Is it only banned in stores / box versions? The internet as a global media distributer may trump all, especially if the “sale” is taking place “out of the farkin’ outback”.

Daily Kos Embraces and Extends Public Gullibility.

Yesterday while meandering around Fisherman’s Wharf in SF I saw a demonstration of folks attempting to trick local liberals into agreeing with Republicans and Libertarians on the subject of taxes.

As amusing as this (obvious) hidden agenda rally was — mainly due to their correct measure of the people’s gullibility — they missed out on one thing. They could really have screwed with people more by staying at home and starting a twitter account.

The Daily Kos has taken it upon themselves to bait Republicans into thinking that Democrats are going to spend $4 Million on Obama Bobbleheads and another $2 Million on shamwows.

Really?

Yes.

How?

With a twitter account.

The response to this once they realized they’d been duped was initially good, only in the comments does it get hilariously stupid (after the break) (all bold emphasis is mine):

Castro v. Fericito

As of late, The Drudge Report has been featuring various stories about the United States’ burgeoning relationship with Cuba thanks to President B.H.O., his new regime, and their policies.

The funny thing, and the point of this post, is the photo that The Drudge has been tagging these various stories with is of a very peculiarly posed Castro.

The physical articulation in this photo immediately reminded me of Saturday Night Live player Fred Armisen and his character “Fericito.”

Fericito is described on Mr. Armisen’s wiki page as, “a Venezueluan nightclub comedian and host of ¡Show Biz Grande Explosion!”.

Dr. No’s Latest Attempt Bungled Again by Mr. Bond

The New York times has an article up documenting the latest failure in the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-il’s attempts at being Doctor No. I can’t help but think that this is terrorism on a global scale by its smallest player*. The North Korean commanders on this mission to avoid irrelevence probably knew it would fail. Failure in this case, is the goal since their objective is to scare. What is scarier to regular people than a failed missile possibly hitting a civilian target.

*Yes, I’m leaving out Luxembourg. They wouldn’t terrorize anyone.
